✅ The “Global Majority” Perspective (credit to Yann Lechelle for the term): this is no longer just a conversation about the #GlobalSouth. A #GlobalMajority of countries are lagging behind in AI adoption and now face the opportunity to leap forward by leveraging #OpenSource as a strategic enabler.

✅ Bold Steps for #DigitalTransformation: achieving parity in AI requires a willingness to take risks in investment strategies, technical directions, and policy-making. Innovation demands courage and forward-thinking leadership.

✅ #Openness as a Catalyst for Competitiveness: embracing openness is essential to regain global competitiveness, foster digital inclusivity, ensure transparency, and drive the momentum needed to shape an equitable and sustainable AI-powered future.

These outcomes reinforce the vital role of #OpenSource in leveling the playing field and empowering nations to thrive in the digital age. A good opportunity to shed light on very concrete actions at the United Nations and International Telecommunication Union just focussing on this, on the ground:
