🎉 LINAGORA pride and a deeper convergence with NVIDIA for training models

In its #GTC2026 announcement, NVIDIA names LINAGORA among the teams using Nemotron models and frameworks to build sovereign models serving billions of people in their native languages, aligned with local cultures and values.

Alongside AI Singapore, Tổng Đài Viettel Telecom, Stockmark, Indosat Business, Ooredoo Group, organizations that, like us, chose digital sovereignty and #Open Source AI. Recognition of years of work through OpenLLM 🇫🇷 🇪🇺 France and our strong work on LUCIE and her sister Luciole with also the amazing support from GENCI.

But what strikes me more is strategic convergence this announcement reveals.

NVIDIA states that open source AI has become a global force for innovation. This isn’t (only) marketing.

The company is now building a full family of open models spanning AI agents, robotics, biology and multimodal systems.

That is precisely what we have been advocating for 25 years not just as a business model, but as a philosophy.

True open source and the commons always end up becoming the standard.

Not because they are free. Because they are better, auditable, appropriable and they concentrate the collective intelligence of a global community.

NVIDIA, with its GPUs and billions of dollars, is reaching the same conclusion we reached with 200 engineers and a set of convictions: closed models are a dead end for innovation at planetary scale.
